Perhaps I should clarify.  Vince and I were talking about the 300/4.5,
and I asked him if there were different versions with/without ED
elements.  He said that there weren't, that Olympus didn't ever make any
non-ED lenses into ED lenses.  His comment certainly didn't cover the
85/2's or the 50/1.8's (which did indeed have several... non-ED
versions).

Hey, cool down.  I am not doubting that Vince told you what he told you.
I am just telling you what he told *me*, which seems to be directly the
opposite of what he told you.
