HOYA HMC filters are multi-coated with three layers to each side. An uncoated filter will only transmit about 900f the light striking it. A single-coated filter improves light transmission to about 95%; HOYA HMC filters average 99 0ght transmission. You can see the difference. Photos taken using HOYA HMC filters have greater brilliance, and richer, more pure colors.
NOW, Filter technology has been elevated to a new level with the introduction of HOYA HMC SUPER filters, with six layers of coating to each side, which virtually eliminates reflection problems by allowing a average of 99.7 0ght transmission. The top layer is a protective overcoat which makes it easy to wipe clean.
