I remember reading an article a few years ago about using the tranmitter
and receiver units out of battery operated remote control toy cars for
remote releases. Would be bigger than a watch, but cheap.(Something
else to watch for at garage sales?) Programable? Maybe, but certainly
available in different frequencies anyway. Never tried the conversion,
but did save the article someplace. If interested let me know and I'll
see if I can find it.
