[OM] Japan Top 100 Electronics Companies

Hi all,

Just received the October issue of Asia Electronic Business, whereas the
1997's Top 100 Japan electronics companies is listed. Glad to find Olympus
is jumped from no. 29 (96') to 24 (just under Minolta) in electronics sales
(total amount US2765 millions, a 17.6 0rowth; net income US71 millions, a
300hange). While Nikon is dropped from no. 25 to 29 and Asahi Optical is
dropped from no. 59 to 69. Happy to see Olympus growth and wish they can
spare funds to develop the OM system or a digital OM system that can use
the Zuikos.
