In the US, you can call Olympus USA and get a free manual. It appears
that this is not so in Australia, so here's an answer for one of Sean
Chan's questions. (Even if he _could_ get the manual, he'd _still_ need
an explanation, because Olympus's explanation of the Memory function is
poorly written.)

The Memory/Clear lever controls the OM-4T's spot-metering and
auto-exposure memory.

Spot metering: to clear a single- or multi-spot reading, flick the lever
clockwise.

Memory: to "memorize" an exposure, flick the lever counter-clockwise.

The Memory function works only in auto-exposure mode (since manual
operation is "inherently" a memory mode).

IMPORTANT POINT: If you are taking spot readings, the Memory switch
stores the exposure immediately. If you are not taking spot readings,
and the exposure will be taken from the film plane, the exposure is NOT
stored until you actually take the picture.

The memory is held for about an hour; this should be enough time to run
through a whole roll of film. Also, it is the _exposure_ that is
memorized -- not just the shutter speed. You can change the aperture,
and the shutter speed will follow.
