Brad:

If your Zuikos bear the "x.Zuiko" designation, are MC but bear no
"MC" designation, and their nameplate rings were never replaced or
modified by a rogue repair shop, then you ought to preserve them, as
they must be collectible items.

I think Rand E.'s answer is correct.
