I keep getting stuck with these things, because I end up buying packages
that include winders! I now have two Winder 2s, one Winder 1, and an MD1.
The only one I use very often is the MD 1.
When I think I might use the MD 1, I carry a remote cord and a 12VDC
battery in my pack. The OM body plus the MD 1 minus a battery pack is
pretty slim. With a "wonderbrick," you don't have a choice -- a big, heavy
power supply (minimum of 4 AA cells worth) is built into the camera.
Summary: I value light weight over built-in motors. I won't buy a camera
that requires me to carry a motor around for the 900f the time I don't
want one.
