The additional noise originates from the OM-2S's aperture program
mechanism, which is not present in any other OM body.  The presence of this
mechanism (and its associated timing requirement) prevents 5 fps motor
drive operation on the OM-2S.

Other than the MD situation, it isn't a problem (one list member even
remarked that the OM-2S has the sexiest shutter sound of all time!).
