Unfortunately, the F280 can't be combined with a T series flash, not
even when it's set in the TTL position. You'll only get incorrect
exposure signals, whatever you try. To reduce cost, I would recommend
buying one T20 and use it in the shoe as a fill flash (diffussed!), a 4
meter TTL cord for mounting the T32 on a tripod and a cheap low output
manual flash (GN 14 meters or something) that's triggered by a slave
unit for the hair light. You can tape a light cardboard cylinder on
this flash to make it a spotlight, preventing it from interferring with
the TTL flash metering. It really isn't needed to give this flash TTL
capabilities. But if you want that nevertheless, you'll have to buy two
additional TTL cords and the TTL Auto Multi Connector and these aren't
really cheap.

The nice thing about a multiple TTL flash setup (you can connect no
less than 9 flashes, using three TTL Auto Multi Connectors and 13 TTL
cords! - costs you a small fortune :-() is that it no longer matters
how far every flash is located from the main subject, or if you use any
colour filters, ND filters or diffusers, or if flash lights are
bounced. The camera just meters the total amount of light it receives
and shuts off all flashes simultaneously when enough light is received
- it just works as an automatic flash meter. It's up to you to make
these enhancements in such a way you get creative lighting. The big
thing you'll miss here is of course modelling light - you'll just have
to experiment. That's why some of us are waiting eagerly on Imagek's
EFS-1 to use is as a pola back substitute.
