I thought I recognize the little "i", so I looked it up in the
documentations. Sure enough, in the back of the title page of
the Intel "Introduction to the iAPX 286", dated February 1982,
it said:
"The following are trademarks of Intel Corporation and
may only be used to identify Intel Products:
BXP, CREDIT, i, ICE, iMMX, Insite, Intel, ..."
So there you have it. At least in the USA, the "i" is owned by
my employer, Intel. Look inside any Intel documentation and you'll
see the claim. Maybe Olympus dropped the "i" from the OM-4T in
the US market for fear of infringing on the Intel trademark. :-)
