I have just popped the lid on my old OM1. The only white wire in my
camera connects to the hot shoe bracket. It runs along the left side
of the pentaprism (when looking down from the back side of the camera).
There is a brown wire along the front of the pentaprism. That one starts
at the battery holder and ends at the pad to the right of the switch
on the circuit, right next to the pentaprism.
