I think this is incorrect as well. Since the OTF also works with the 
reflections from the film plane, the meter would be unable to see the 
reflections of the vampire in which case it would yield overexposure.

The amount of overexposure is determined by the illumination of the 
background of the vampire.

To avoid all these complications, make a manual exposure with a manual 
flash (no fill in, no ttl, etc.) You can do this with all OM cameras 
anyway.
