*Recorded delivery*, yes, but not *registered* (I.e. insured).  Since I
ship products regularly to the USA I soon learned this one!   Our Royal
Mail Parcels Service is insured, but also slower and more expensive.  For
me to ship one of our Analysers over there costs 18 GBP, about $30 US, by
Parcel Post.  It's over 60 GBP by UPS / DHL or whatever.

Occasionally I get a customer who's willing to pay the extra :-)  Just
about everywhere else in the world accepts registered air mail - if the USA
did, it would cost me about 15 GBP, fully insured, and delivery's usually
less than a week.
