I can only agree, but sometimes I´d wondered how they judged cameras. A
camera could not get a better mark than the lens it has been tested
with. This is somewhat ridiculous if you can change the lens on the
camera. They stoped this nonsen now, actual cameras are tested lens
independend.

They also tested zoom lenses. What did I learn from one of this tests?

First buy camera makers lenses, all system lenses got at least an "good"
for there performance. The only exeption was the Tamron SP 70-210mm/3.5
it got also an "good". Other lenses were awfull.

Second, it didn´t make much difference (lens quality wise) what
"religion" you obey, in other words: all mayor Japanese Camera maker
produced decent ("good") lenses.
(I hope I will not be banned from the list after this ;-)

Third, Leica buys you the best lense for the step price they ask. The
best lens was an Leica zoom ("very good"). Exact, you guessed it, the
"Japan" zoom made by Minolta. Minoltas "Rokor" lens just got an "good".
The additional money (3x Minoltas) is invested in an lens with tighter
specs and a better mechanical make. In other words: You get what you
pay.

So don´t expect from Sigma, the performance you get from Olympus.

Not unusual with a third party flash. Metz changes there SCA dedicated
modules if the camera makers new cameras need different specs.
