[OM] Dead OM-2s ?

Hi fellow Olympophiles,

in a short but severe fit of OM-acquisitis (an inflammation of the wallet, often
found to go with zuikoholism) and in order to have something to play around with
during the upcoming long and potentially boring X-mas week-end, I bought two OMs
today for the equivalent of US$140 in total.
The one is a 1976 OM-1 that (apart from the usual gooey foam) looks nice and
sounds just lovely (even nicer than my old OM-2). The other is an OM-2s with a
problem. It was sold as 'kaputt' for $20, but I'm not sure if it couldn't be
revived. The funny thing is, that after inserting 2 new SR44s the display works
very well in all modes and give realistic readings after half depressing the
shutter button. But neither can the button be fully depressed, nor can the
advance lever be wound. The camera is obviously 'blocked' somehow.
As the body is in an otherwise nice condition (only a bit of brassing on the
bottom plate and a missing md-cap), I'd certainly like to make it work again.
Besides, it would be my first spot-metering body :)
Soooo, did anyone ever experience a similar problem with his OM-2s ?

Thanks in advance for any comments (apart from those about being sick enough to
buy a broken camera, of course).
Seasons Greetings to you all,
Soenke, Hamburg

PS: the notches on the md-cam are in the 10-o'clock/4-o'clock position wich
strikes me as odd; on my other OMs they rest in the 12/6-position.
