Thanks Gary.  Yes, Vivitar are quite well respected here as well though I
don't think they're as popular as they used to be.  I've not seen one of
these lenses advertised here, hence my enquiry.  It's a big, heavy lens.
Maybe I'll give it a try over the next week or two while I'm away - if so
I'll report back. I'm more interested in getting out with that 16mm again
though!
