Per;

I can't explain your questions, but I can add fuel to the fire!

I've got a 2SP (and some 1s and a 2n and 2 4Ts).  I bought the 2SP used, in
10- condition. It is still (albeit after a cosmetic repair due to damage
suffered when it was borrowed) in 9 to 10 condition. That's partly because
I don't use it much. And that's mainly because of the battery drain
problem. This one has never been upgraded. Too often after a cold night in
the trunk during camping/photo trips, I'd find dead batteries in the 2SP,
while the 4T would work fine. So I began to think of the 2SP as
'unreliable' vis-a-vis batteries and it being 'ready when I am'. So I
limited it's use to around home and studio. However, due again to not being
upgraded, I can not use it much with flash because the batteries will be
sucked dry by the ready light. So it's my least used body.

Having said all that, I think it is the sexiest-looking OM of all. Love that
green 'Program' lettering.

I bought a spare body cheap for parts to try to keep this one
looking/running good. Course the spare was/is locked up due (apparently) to
circuit problems.

George
