I will not comment on Mr. Ernens' additional silly and ill-considered
critiques, except to repeat a 'Peanuts' cartoon from 40 years ago.
Linus is complaining that Lucy is always yelling at him. "Why don't you
speak quietly?" he asks. "Because," Ms. Van Pelt replies, "when I speak
quietly, YOU DON'T LISTEN!"
Apparently, some people don't listen even when we yell at them.
Thoughtful criticism is always welcome, but you cannot excuse rudely
shoving ill-considered opinions down others' throats by saying "you
didn't catch that I was only joking."
