Yes - the used 2n I just got does the same thing. As near as I can
tell it NEVER operates on full manual. Shooting it in a poorly
lighted room on manual gets a slow shutter (1/4 second or slower to
judge by the sound) even with the shutter set to 1/1000. Pointing it
at a light source will close the shutter for that exposure, but the
problem returns on the next shot.
