this is really getting too much.
Could we please do one of the following (should this be in the list FAQ?):
a) make sure that all jokes are blatantly obvious to the most
humour impaired of us.
b) ensure that all jokes/ironic comments/digs at anything are
liberally sprinkled with smiley faces or <joke></joke> tags.
or
c) refrain from making any ambiguous sarcastic remarks in the first place.
I think many of the problems stem from the cross-language barriers
many of us ignore when posting; that, and the differing forms
of humour each nationality seems to generate. I, for one, am
constantly amused by the lack of irony some people have
(and no, it's got nothing to do with rain on your wedding day)
I, for one, will endeavour to reinvent
my humour when on the list!
