:I am considering the purchase of the Epson 700 to replace my now defunct
Canon
:600 (groan...$499 when purchased....the print head went and replacing the
head
:is as expensive as a new printer!). The Epson is around $250 and is 14400 x
:700 dpi (or thereabouts)
:Any of you seen the prints from it?? Try any pictures on glossy??

Well I have the original Epson Stylus Photo and find its quality already
quite impressive. Very near photo quality when your originals are really
high res, and you're using the right paper. I wasn't too happy about the
standard Epson Glossy Paper (it's too thin, gets wrinkled too easy).
Extremely good results on Epson Glossy Film, but this paper is way too
expensive for normal prints. I found a good compromise in Kodak Digital
Science glossy paper.
