Minolta still markets MD lens (at least in the USA), albeit not the full range
there once was. Used interest in these in the USA is STRONG.

Hum, there is enough interest in Yashica lenses on the used market in the USA.
I've had a number of Yashica ML zooms pass through my hands. The 50mm f/1.4
Yashica ML has a particularily good test result and makes a fine low cost
alternative to the stellar and costly Carl Zeiss Planar. I suspect lower cost
is what drives the used Yashica lens market. In another words, why go without
when one can at least get their foot in the door with a cheaper lens?

Of course, we are talking two very different geographic markets, so MMV.
