Thanks to everyone who responded to my post. The advice and opinions I
received will, I'm sure, prove invaluable in planning this trip. Even the
issues I thought I clearly understood, like tripods, have been brought in to
sharper focus (monopods, beanbags, etc.). The one consistent comment was the
need for _l o n g_ glass. I guess I'll start looking for the best deals out
there. If anyone has specific recommendations of experience, comments are
welcome! Thanks again.
