I think so. If you look at all those 35-70mm Cosina clone lenses, they have
always the unusual aperture of 1:3,5-4,8 (you can buy it from Olympus,
Nikon, Minolta, Tokina, Soligor and so on). But the Olympus AF 70-210mm is
the only lens I know with the also unusual (for this focal length range)
aperture of
1:3,5-4,5. Further the thin konkav-konvex rear element of the 35-70 I have
never seen with other 35-70mm compact zooms (Pentax F or Tokina SZX for
example). But if these both Olympus AF zooms are unique, why should they be
built by another manufacturer ? A lens like the Cosina 35-70mm 1:3,5-4,8
makes only sense for Cosina, if it is built for many customers.
