The T45 is "reversible". I have always used my T45 "left-handed" and
used my right hand on the camera body's shutter release (and re-wind
lever). This makes it difficult to "follow focus" - but I manage.

If you use a winder and the correct magic cables, you can configure the
T45 "right handed". Use the shutter release on the T45, and have the
left hand free for focus.

I think...

But...this re-raises the question I had about my mystical cable.
Concensus was that it is an electrically operated mechanical cable
release. One could easily imagine somehow connecting the T45's shuter
release to this beast and having it mechanically operate the camera
body's shutter release. Alas, I see no place on the T45 to plug it
in...it must require a power source...oh well, might as well attach a
winder.

And now..a winder question. In mid roll, my Winder 1 started winding
only about 3/4 of the way (the film was advanced about 3/4 frame and the
shutter was about 3/4 cocked - I could "complete" the winding and
cocking manually). Is this a sign of weak batteries...or someting more
insidious? At the time, I manually "helped it along"for a few frames,
and then removed the winder and tossed it in the bag. I haven't gone
back to investigate. What should I look for?
