  I certainly have the same attitude.  Since I really don't have a feel
for what the quality differences are, it is difficult to know which ones
would have the quality I want.  I guess I don't even really know what
quality I want since I don't know what the visual differences are between
pictures taken with one kind of lens and another.  ARGH!  Do camera shops
let you use a lens for a few days and return it?  

"Hello, I'd like two lenses...and when can I bring them back?"  :)

  I have skimmed the web page mentioned earlier that has info on the
lenses.  I should go read it more carefully now...maybe it can give me
a better feel.
