[OM] 18mm filters

Further to the question Re: filters for the 18mm Zuiko.

The lens has a 49mm filter thread at the front element, but as the front
element protudes some 5mm past this, Olympus has made a 49mm to 72mm
adapter ring to allow enough clearance to fit a 72mm filter in front of the
lens.

The 18mm is almost like a fisheye lens without the internal filters the 8mm
and 16mm Zuiko's have.

I fitted the 72mm filters I have used on my 300mm, and the result was
vignetting. The 72mm filters were made by Tiffen and Hoya. The rim on
most is 5mm thick with the polariser being 7mm.

Thanks for the help and I will look at the Hoya HMC's.

Michael.
