Thomas, if you're going to spend that much money don't forget to push
the shutter button.

In 1969(?) I drove from upstate New York to North Carolina to see my one
and only total solar eclipse. Just before totality arrived I was
awestruck by the sudden drop in temperature, the appearance of shadow
bands and the sudden quieting of people, birds and dogs such that you
could hear a pin drop in the grass.

As if awestruck wasn't enough I was thunderstruck when totality finally
arrived. The daylight turned instantly to night, the stars and planets
suddenly appeared, sunrise/sunset was happening 360 degrees around the
horizon and the awesome blue/red corona was blazing away several times
the diameter of the sun/moon.

I stood there with my mouth hanging open for 2-1/2 minutes and never
even thought about pushing the shutter button. Guess it must have been
an equipment problem. I had a Miranda back then.

Fellow addicts,

what could be considered a fair price for a 250 film back, 3 canisters
and
the film loader, all with boxes and in mint condition? I want this for
my
trip to the solar eclipse this summer, but I'm not quite sure HOW MUCH I
want it...
I've read in the archieves that people will pay $80 for a canister, are
prices really THAT crazy?
