        Hahaha! Love the Zuikoholics Anonymous tag. As for the swamp
fungus, let the equipment take a good soaking in the swamp--the saline
solution'll do good (just kidding). In chem lab, there's a closet thingy
with a UV lamp for sanitizing goggles...would something like that work?
I'd guess this would have to be done on a item-by-item basis to get the
light all into and around the body/lens. Hopefully, it won't damage the
coating or wreak havoc with any other part.
        Some high end binoculars are Nitrogen filled; why not a
hermetically sealed N2 filled lens? It's doable, certainly, and there
could be a small flexible bellows inside to take the displacement. Crazy
idea, isn't it <G>
        Off topic, I have read a lot of praise for the Zuikos, but there
was a recent thread comparing Zuikos to Leitz--is Oly /that/ good? Is it
also true that Leica owners take the better Zuikos and convert the mount
to Leitz?
