I have used both linear and circular polarizers with my OM4T and found no
difference in day to day use. As you turn the linear polarizer, look at the
exposure reading and, in normal landscape scenery with little water, you
won't see much difference. If the light is reflected off of water, there is a
lot of polarized light and you should bracket depending on if you are taking
a picture of the reflected light or of the rest of the scene.

If you do use a circular polarizer and use 49mm Zuiko lens, the expense
spread over your lens collection will be very little. If you ever plan on
snagging a Zuiko 21/3.5, get a Hoya thin HMC or Zuiko circular polarizer as
they supposed won't vignette. I use a Pentax linear polarizer that has an
larger ring to adjust the polarization and no front threads for another
filter.
