Hi Zuikophage,

My household insurance gives me a complete coverage (value of new
or equivalent) for my equipment (minus 125$ deductible) even if it slip out from
my
hands on the macadam everywhere in the world.
I paid a little supplement for the protection about accident cause  by me
(accidentally).
It's not only for photo equipment but also for all other things in my personal
possession.
Interesting point, equipment is covered during delivery operations of post 
office
if it is still your possession. The question here, who are the proprietor?
