Sorry for the delayed response to these messages. I'm still trying
to catch up with some old posts.

Angel is absolutely right! This is a multinational, multicultural
mailing list, and I for once greatly appreciate its diversity.
In addition to the opportunity to learn a lot about our beloved
OM's/Zuikos and photography, we also get a unique exposure to many
different peoples, cultures, and especially languages (even though
English is the de facto lingua franca of the internet).

Personally, I always wanted to familiarize myself with photographic
terminology in different languages/different parts of the world,
and, guess what? In recent weeks, the OLY list came through.

For instance, I always wanted to know how one says "manual adapter"
or "tripod mount" in German. Lucky for me, a fellow German Zuik
just made it perfectly clear!

But wait, my education didn't stop there. I always wanted to
know how they say "winder" in Spanish. And, wouldn't you know?
A fellow Spaniard Zuik came through!

Just imagine my relief: hey, this is not as difficult as I had
thought! Now I confidently accept those photography assignments
in Europe, knowing full well that I will never get stuck without
a spare "el flash" in Barcelona, or a "Schutterreleasekabel" in
Munich. Isn't internet wonderful? :-)

Cheers,

in Studio City, which is not a real city, but rather a neighborhood
of the City of Los Angeles (which, as many claim, is not a real city
either, but rather an amorphous, sprawling agglomeration of individual
neighborhoods), California, USA (somewhere between Canada and Mexico).

P.S. Where the h*ll _is_ "Churrigurri, MO" ? Mindless inquisitors,
... oops, soooo soooorry, I meant: inquisitive minds, want to know.
/G.S. :-) :-)

P.P.S. While I was on hiatus (well, actually in hibernation), some
daredevil stole my tutu. Has anyone seen it, by any chance? I want
it baaack!! /G.S. :-)
