My T-mount adaptor has a fixed aperture pin (fixed at "wide open"
position (indicating no compensation)).

When I use non-auto lenses, the meter always reads correctly when
wide open *and* when stopped down to any aperture.

*THAT* is the advatage of the OM/Minolta method over the Nikon method.
