Shawn,
Perhaps you missed the initial discussion on National Geographic photographers using OM. I related the story of this shot. It was made with an OM-2 mounted to the vertical tail of the L-1011 on a twilight approach. The long exposure could probably only be made with an OM-2, hence the OM relevance.

I wish I could remember where I read the story with the details of the shot, since the National Geographic issue only shows a picture of the camera installation. I remember clearly that it was shot with an OM-2 and a 24 mm. However, I know that some of my memories are suspect.

Regards,
Gary Edwards

Anyone know where this came from and what it's relevance is?
I have the NG CD set, which shows the article in question featuring photos by
Bruce Dale. Is he a Zuikoholic?

Perhaps you can see this issue in a library or private collection of the
magazine. We do not make photocopies of individual articles or
photographs, and they are not available online; however, past issues of
the magazine that are still in print can be purchased by e-mailing
NGS.SINGLE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, or by calling 1-800-777-2800.

It was a pleasure to be of assistance.

Cordially,
Dorothy G. Lerda
