Hello Martin.

It all depends on what the use of your extension tubes will be.
Technically the Vivitar tubes are good, and since no glass is
contained, optically they are on par with Olympus originals.

But if the length of the tubes is also important for you, you might
have a reason to choose the original ones. 
Olympus has chosen the lengths 7, 14 and 25 mm to ensure that these
tubes (and their combinations) make all extensions between 0 and 50mm
are available. (The gaps are bridged by the internal extension of the
lenses). The 50mm macro does even go to 65mm extension, just where the
range of the 65-116mm auto zoom tube starts.

Most other brand extension tubes come in 12, 20 and 36 mm sets if I am
remembering well. This will leave gaps in the total range of possible
extensions when using Zuiko lenses. Normally this shouldn't give any
problems, but in a scientific environment one wouldn't want these
gaps. And this part of the OM-system was at least partially designed
for scientific use...
