Redeye is a function of the angle made between the lens, flash, and eyes of 
the subject. This is why moving the flash away from the lens helps reduce it. 
As your focal length gets longer, the flash/lens to subject tends to 
increase, decreasing the angle. Thats why some people say that longer lenses 
"cause" redeye. Were the problem shots made at the long or short end of the 
zoom range?
