Remounting the slide or slides into a glass mount may improve it. In the
meantime, we'll have to wait for more engineering improvements in
scanners--one of which will be a vacuum force holddown for film, as in one of
the Contax SLR bides and the new Contax 645 220 holder. Or some sort of
curved field correction lenses like those for slide projectors.
