Well, yeah, that's kinda what I meant.  Olympus will say over the phone that 
"normal service on 24/2 is $156.  But if there is damage to the lens over and 
above normal the price will increase."  

IOW, they will tell you a $$$ number, but there's no guarantee final cost won't 
be much higher.
