Doing it in the dark with two at a time eh????? .....hmmm I must to give it
a try too! :^)

As far as I know, (someone please correct me otherwise), the filtration
values you've determined that give correctly color balanced prints for one
color head enlarger, more often than not, can't be transferred to another
manufacturer's color head enlarger to give the same result. You have to
calibrate them separately.

Although I own only one color head enlarger, I keep separate calibrated
filtration notes, for switching between RA4 and Ilfochrome printing as the
recommended starting filtration values from the respective paper
manufacturers are relative - that is, not specific to my enlarger or many
others, as far as I can tell.

Try www.durst-online.com. Plus B&H web site includes links to two other
Durst related web sites.

OM Content - I ocassionaly use bulk loaded film and recently hit a tight
spot, during wind on to the next frame on my OM4. In applying a little more
force to cock the shutter, I heard a tearing sound akin to the film sprocket
holes being torn. The shutter cocked and fired but on the next attempt, I
found that the manual film advance was jammed.

I rewound the film and loaded a new roll and found that it would not wind
past number 1 on the frame counter - performing a battery reset did not
resolve the ummm.... stalemate. Removing the film, I was able to wind on,
but only till number 1 on the frame counter as before. Fixing the err...
situation, required removal and replacement of the battery cover. Upon
replacement of battery cover all was well - sorta like hard booting a PC.

I was able to duplicate this ummm... behaviour using the original torn film.
I wonder if this wind-on locking is errr.. ummm.... a design feature?

Regards
S.C.

PS My OM4 doesn't like it if I describe it as having problems, - it becomes
quite stand offish and unco-operative if I do.
