I have the 49 mm version. It is heavier than the 55mm I believe, but this is
because of it's stronger non plastic construction (so I am told). It is very
sharp. Gary
tested one of these on his web site.
As all my lenses other than the 300 are 49mm threads, I was rapped with
this.
It has a slightly different colour cst to the Zuikos, but I only just notice
it when comparing a Zuiko and the Tamron side by side.
I use this lens for more than 500f my shots.
