Ken,
You gotta do what you gotta do. If things don't work out, you can still mow
my yard!
Good luck and stay in touch.

Dear fellow Zuikoholics:

I have been participating in this list for a long time now. In fact, I
believe I joined right after it moved to Australia. It has been a fun
time, and I've made a lot of friends through this list. Of all the various
lists I've joined and dropped, the Olympus list has been the most enjoyable
and peaceful. A good sense of humor has permeated this list with the likes
of Gary Schloss and many others which I wont mention here. Whenever
flame-wars would erupt, they would die down relatively quickly with few
harsh words said. I am thankful for having found this list and being able
to contribute throughout my tenure here. I know I've offended a few, along
the way, and baited a couple flame-wars myself with my seriously off-topic
discussions of Surburbans vs VW bugs and of course my odd sense of humor.

For those wondering about Vert and Toky: Vert suffered the frontal
lobotomy and is happily spending its remaining days as an auto-extension
tube. Toky is still occupying a space in the bag as the el-cheepo
teleconverter, but knows its days are numbered.

It is time for me to move on. The Olympus list has gotten so popular and
busy that I can't keep up with it anymore. I am no longer able to give the
list the attention it deserves as my time is becomming even more limited.
You all have been an encouragement to me and have helped keep me focused on
my photography. My photo business is starting to do a lot better and I'm
even going to start doing weddings and team pictures for another company
along with my own.

I will continue to use Olympus equipment until the moneys allow me to move
to another system. I will be switching over to medium-format as my primary
system and possibly settle on the Contax. For 35mm, I'll probably get a
Nikon F100. I don't mean to abandon the Olympus, but I will have little
choice as a professional but to. If and when it comes time to unload the
equipment, I will let you all know. (I do have some of your email
addresses).

This email is not a joke. It is with sadness that I am writing it. I will
hang on until the end of the week before unsubscribing. I wish to remain
in contact with some of you (Sorry, Gary Schloss, you made the list), <g>
but will need to join the ranks of Michael Covington and others who used to
be highly active on the list but just ran out of time to be part of the
group.

Thanks everybody for a fun couple of years. With the likes of Kelton, Gary
and other creative writers, I know the list will be in good hands in my
absence. If there is anything that you feel would be of interest to me,
please forward it to me.

Thank you,

Ken
