here are a few more data points on current consumption/test
current/voltages from the OM2N service manual:
12 mA max in Auto or manual at 3.15V (1.57/cell)
15mA max in B
12 to 18mA at 3.15V in battery check
0.8mA set at 1sec f1.8 and bv16 in manual mode
battery checker:
lights continuously above 2.8V (1.4V/cell,12-18mA)
flashes below 2.8V
out below 2.5V+/-0.05 (1.25V/cell)
