In 1984 per the B&H ad, the 40/2 ran for $84.90 while the 50/1.8 went for
$42.90. I paid less than $80 for mine last year at a camera store. I didn't
feel at all guilty for almost "stealing" from a store. Now I won't ever be
able to sell it on THIS list.
