IMHO, the Super Purrrrrrfect Tamron are quite good. From the reports/test
I've been able to read the SP lens are quite well rated and well respected.
Currently I'm using the 80-200/2.8 and 90/2.5 and I did own the 35-105/2.8
for about a month (but I returned it b/c the store was unable/unwilling to
fix the sticky zoom). The images that I've made w/ this lenses are
excellent. I especially like the much talked about 90, but I was also quite
impressed/surprised by the 35-105 and I would very much like to replace it
(maybe w/ the smaller, less expensive 35-80/2.8-3.8 instead).
The other two SP lenses that I've read good things about are the 180/2.5 and
300/2.8 (the second tends to be quite relatively expensive).
