The LCD viewfinder display in the 4 is now in the bottom of the frame rather
than the side.
The OM-4 have in addition to single-spot metering, the following:
1.Multi-spot metering up to 8 spots, the camera does the averaging for you
2. Highlight/Shadow plus Spot buttons would give correct exposures for a white
subject or for a black subject in your image.
3. Memory/Clear button to lock the exposure value when needed.
4. Film Speed Range extended down to ISO 6
5. Top Shutter Speed is 1/2000 sec. the longest auto exposure is 1 minute with
center-weighted metering , 4 minutes with spot metering.
6. Overexposure warning, exposure-compensation warning (+/- sign), flash charge
and exposure (under/over)
7. Built-in dioptric correction of +1 to -3 diopters. There are intermediate
steps available so that you can adjust to your eyesight better than dioptric
correction lenses you can get for the viewfinder
8. Automatic turnoff in 120 seconds as opposed to 90 sec.

4T Differences:
Flash sync with F280; high-speed daylight sync possible
New Electronic Circuits (correction of battery drain in the 4)
Titanium top and bottom covers (lighter and durable body)
Small difference in how the self-timer works. I like the kind the 4 has better,
but it is easy to push the lever too far.

I skipped the 2's all together going from the M-1 to the 4T. Now that I have
had a 4 for a few months, I would rather have a second 4T body in addition to my
first 4T.

BTW, If you are insterested in my 4, please contact me off list
(tomokoy@xxxxxxxxx) . The information is now available at
