Good points.

With inkjet printers the choice of papers is one of the "tweaks" that
personalizes the results more than one would think. A year or two ago
Konica paper was certainly the one to beat with the Epson printers, but
then Epson dramatically improved its Photo Paper.  And although one can
very nearly put a Konica print under water from the moment it hits the
paper tray (not something I've ever been tempted to do or even brag about
at parties), the colors fade and go askew very quickly.  I also discovered
in doing the Epson prints for Tomoko that it is much harder to get a
neutral color balance with the Konica paper.  That said it has a certain
punchiness which is rewarding where exact color match is not critical.  But
I have now standardized on the Epson Photo Paper and the prints that Tomoko
has from me are on this paper.
