Hmmm, you did? Sorry, I must have missed that one, but it's awfully
nice of you to confess. :-)

My point was not to support Mr. Weiss. In fact, I chided him off-list
for his misbehavior. Regardless of how offensive his private msgs
to you and John H. may have been, IMHO publishing them here w/o his
permission was wrong. Believe you me, neither your nor John H.'s
reputations on the OLY list were ever in any danger.

Both of you ought to have more faith in your fellow Zuiks/Zuikettes.
Most of us have been hanging around at these particular e-premises
for many moons now, and it'll take much more than one post from a
complete stranger to sway our opinions. Sorry for the plural tense,
but I believe that most Zuiks/Zuikettes are with me on this one.

Oh, I am so glad you asked :-). The netiquette was conceived in the
internet newsgroups, and most mailing lists adopted it. To learn about
netiquette, pls visit the following newsgroup:

news://news.announce.newusers

and read all the posts on netiquette by Ms. Emily Postnews, the internet
equivalent of Ms. Manners. Additional info. is available at:

news://news.newusers.questions

and

news://news.answers

To summarize, netiquette requires that private communications remain
private. Everyone's privacy must be respected, and this includes people
whom we don't like or disagree with.

E-mail is a very impersonal medium, and it's very tempting to let the
discourse slide to the lowest common denominator -- a level I call
the Net Jungle. Let us all try to keep the Zoo out of Zuiko :-)

(Hey, the last sentence is pretty neat, huh? :-) :-))

Cheers,
