Swans are quite fearless sometimes. I remember shooting (with a camera of
course!) a black swan in New Zealand (first time ever I saw a black swan,

Sure it is the scanning? (I don't know myself, just wondering.)
Anyway, I do agree this would be a little darker and I think the colors would
come forward better then. And yes, if the contrast was slightly higher the
picture would improve.
The picture itself are good though.
