How about this:
I have two 50/1.8 and both are different.
1. #1,275,4xx: F.Zuiko, black, single coated, metal aperture ring. It has the
serial # at the front and "Lens made in Japan" on the lens mount.
2. #3,044,3xx: Zuiko, chrome, "MC", multi coated, plastic aperture ring. It
has the serial # on the lens mount ring, and "Japan" at the front.
Now add to that the lower numbered (no. 1 above) are a few millimeters
smaller, but a few grams heavier...
Interesting, isn't it?
