Hi,

I wasn't going to add anything to this thread as it has already widely been
discussed, but...:

> How about this:
> I have two 50/1.8 and both are different.

...to make this even more interesting, one of my 50/1.8 lenses has the "Made
in Japan" indication on the lens info ring, is from 1986, yet doesn't seem
to be MC (at least, I can't detect a single trace of green, just
yellow-purple). As far as I can tell it doesn't seem to be made of plastic
(maybe I'm mistaken, but it seems to be made from the same kind of metal
that is used for the other Zuikos), so go figure... Yet another version ?!?
:)

Cheers!
Olafo

PS: Something similar applies to my 35-70/4. It also has the "Made in Japan"
indication, but has similar coating as the above described 50/1.8. However,
since I bought that lens second handed, I don't know in what year it was
more or less made.
